About Mullingar Climate Action Network:

We’re ordinary. Nothing special. Boring, even. We’re just normal people with no access to vast piles of cash or staff. Most of us don’t have PhDs or Masters degrees.

What we DO have is a sense that there are small actions that people like us (and you!) can take, in and around our town, that can help to maintain and improve our local environment. We don’t look to get involved in multi-million Euro projects or things that need engineering reports or planning permission, just simple things that can be done in relatively small amounts of time. 

We’re particularly keen on ways to:

• cut down on food waste
• repair stuff rather than throwing it away
• encourage home composting
• boost and protect local biodiversity
